The team had a great weekend of racing at Birmingham arena for the SX last round. Scooter Webster already had the title of ACU champion for 2011/12 so the last round was a one of championship race. Scooter and Will Keogh both qualified and were set to race in the evenings main event. Also getting to the main event was Jack Grayshon with a win in the heats. Ozzie Murray took a 5th in the qualifiers missing out on the main event by one place. He took the win in the non qualifying race and rode great, he will be back later this year to try again.
The main event saw Scooter and Will take to the line and disaster struck as Wills bike wouldn’t start. A fuel problem had accrued and the gate dropped leaving Will behind. Scooter got off to a good start in around fifth. He soon started to pull them in and he was in third place after the first three laps and chasing hard to pass for second. He fought all the way to line and took the third spot.
Jack took to the line for his main event. The gate dropped but Jack got out of shape and was back in ninth place at the first corner. He rode like a champ and pulled back to seventh. A great ride for this little seven year old.
Also riding in the main event for the 65s was Brad Woodage. Brads first arena and he did a great job well done.
Coventry Winter Championships
Jack and Ozzie Murray had great results in the winter championships. Jack took joint first but took the overall victory over the four rounds and Ozzie came home in 6th over the four rounds. Well done to you both.
I would also like to mention Josh Main who rode at the weekend in the 65 class. Josh took three hole shots and rode superb. A name to watch out for we think at Vampires Rock KTM.
