Team Manager and owner Steve Murray Steinman
Steve Murray “AKA” Steve Steinman.
Steve is better known today for being a rock singer in the smash hit rock show Vampires Rock but his passion for motocross has never been far from his heart.
Steve started racing when he was 11 years old and he soon became one of the top youth riders in the country. Steve won many championships and finished in the top 5 at the ACU British title rounds over the years. Steve also competed in the Champion of Champions and he managed a podium finish with a second overall at the Cambridge Elf national just behind factory rider Kurt Nicol and ahead of team factory Honda. Later Steve was spotted and given the chance to ride along side friend Ken Murray in the KTM youth team of its day.
After leaving school Steve took time out from racing to concentrate on working in the family business but it wasn’t long before a local motocross shop offered Steve a ride on a Kawasaki to compete in the AMCA championships. Steve rode in the AMCA 125, 25o and 500 Championships finishing in the top 5 and he was chosen to ride for the country in the International AMCA team events “ INBA” aboard his Suzuki 125. Steve finally retired after breaking his collar bone at the age of 23. Since then Steve has been working hard on his business and growing family.
Steve grew his company from nothing to an international renowned production show and clothing line. In 2011 Steve bought his son his first bike and the passion came flooding back. Ozzie picked riding up very quickly and within two month of his first taste of Motocross Steve entered him in his first race. Steve could see something in his son that he once had so decided to keep racing every week. It wasn’t long before Ozzie was finishing in the top ten up against much older boys and we expect podium finishes in 2012. Steve could see there was a gap in the market for a youth team so the idea was borne and meetings with KTM soon followed.
